How to Eliminate High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure, hypertension, is one of the biggest health issues in the U.S. Blood pressure is the force that blood applies to the walls of your arteries as it circulates through your body. When you have high blood pressure your arteries walls become distorted or bulge. High blood pressure can lead to heart disease, stroke, eye damage, kidney issues, or diabetes.

Causes of High Blood Pressure

The cause of high blood pressure usually lies in the way you live. If you eat a diet high in red meat, saturated fat, sugar, salt, alcohol, caffeine, smoke, processed foods, and eat few fruits and vegetables, you most likely will have or develop high blood pressure. Smoking will also cause an increase in your blood pressure. If you are overweigh or inactivity then your blood pressure will rise. If your job, your water, or food exposes you to various heavy metals or contaminates, this will increase your high blood pressure.

High Blood Pressure Symptoms

High blood does not create a lot of symptoms, but here are a few that you can check: nose bleeds, blurry vision, shortness of breath, headaches, excess sweating or dizziness.

High Blood Pressure Diet

You can adjust your high blood pressure by having a good diet. Foods you should eat are those for a healthy diet such as whole grain, lean meats and fish, and plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Increase you intake of fiber by eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables. Eat fruits and vegetables separate. Use fruits as a snack between meals and not as desert after a meal.

Eat foods high in potassium, such as bananas, asparagus, oranges, apples, cabbage, tomatoes and seaweeds. Eat apricots, dates, prunes, raisins, strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, beets, peas, beans, turkey, beef, and grapefruits.

Foods to Avoid

Back off on the use of salt in your food preparation and in the products that you buy. Don’t eat smoked meats, ham, bacon, pork, or cheeses and dairy products. Look at food labels for hydrogenated fats and avoid those that have it.

Avoid sugar; this is a real killer and poisons your body.

High Blood Pressure Remedies

  1. Coenzyme Q10 – use 100 mg three times a day. Clinical studies show that Q10 is effective in lowering high blood pressure and many issues related to heart health.

  2. Hawthorn Berries – use 250 mg of a standardized extract 3 times a day. This herb helps to lower blood pressure

  3. Arjuna – use one or two 550 mg daily. Arjuna is an India herb that has a protective effect for your entire cardiovascular system. It also effective in lowering blood pressure.

  4. Fish Oil – use 3000 mg 3 time per day. This is a large dose and can be reduced as your high blood pressure goes down. But do not go below 2000 mg per day.

  5. Potassium – use up to 1500 mg spread through out the day. But, do not use it, if you are taking a medical diuretic, have a kidney disease, or have serious heart condition.

  6. Aged Garlic powder – take 600 mg two times a day. Garlic has a good history of lowering high blood pressure.

High blood pressure can be controlled, but it requires work and dedication in following the various remedies. It is best not to use high blood pressure drugs without first trying natural remedies. High blood pressure drugs can cause side effects that can result in other serious illnesses.
