Prevent Osteoporosis with Natural Remedies

If you want to prevent osteoporosis, the time to do is now. You don’t want to wait until you’re past 40 to find out you have porous and weak bones. Practice healthy bone maintenance into your diet now and you won’t have to worry about your bone density in the future. Here you will find information on the cause of osteoporosis and a natural osteoporosis treatment.

Most of us might think that osteoporosis is a result of old age. We might think that as we age we would expect our bones to become weak, fragile, or porous. This is false thinking.

Osteoporosis is the result of your lifestyle – diet, way you eat, way you think, posture, supplements, and exercise. If you have some genetic tendency for weak bones, you can over come that by living a good lifestyle.

The time to strengthen your bones is before the age of thirty. Up to this age bones are building. After that age, your bones mass starts to decrease. For best bone density, start your healthy bone program early and continue it as a lifestyle.

Cause of osteoporosis

Here is a list of causes of osteoporosis: poor diet, nutritional deficiencies because of a poor diet or poor digestion, excess stress, toxic metals, inactivity, hormones, excess use of drugs, smoking, lack of sun, and an acid body.

Osteoporosis symptoms

There are only a few osteoporosis symptoms but you can keep an eye out for these:  backaches, bones broken easily, stooped posture, Dowager’s hump, large distorted joints in fingers or else where, clothes that get to large.

Diet for osteoporosis

Here is a basic diet for osteoporosis. Eat foods that are high in calcium and magnesium and other minerals. For calcium eat sea weeds like kelp, dulce, wakame, agar, nori, kombu, tempeh, all dark green leafy vegetables, nuts such as almonds, pecans, pine nuts, sesame seeds walnuts, broccoli, romaine lettuce, yogurt, fish, beans, and lentils.

Use tofu and miso, flaxseeds, olive oil, avocados. And as always move towards a more natural diet and avoid processed and junk foods and salty foods.

Don’t expect milk to give you the calcium you need since calcium in milk is hard to absorb. It is not recommended that you drink milk, since for some people it is hard to digest, creates allergies, and produces mucus.
