Do You Hear Ringing in Your Ears?

Recently, my sister asked me if I knew of any natural remedy for ringing in the ears.  She said the ringing was keeping her awake at night.  And, her daughter has the same problem.  Her daughter had to listen to a loud radio to mask the ringing so that she could concentrate on doing her job.

In my sister’s case, her ringing began when she started dealing with a personal emotional issue.  Anxiety is one of the causes of ringing of the ears.  If you go to your doctor, they have no recommendation for this problem called Tinnitus.  But on occasion, doctors will prescribe an antidepressant or anti anxiety medication.

Studies have shown that most over-the-counter drugs and medication damage the ears.  They eat away at the outer protective layer of the ear nerves making them more sensitive to sound, which interferes with your hearing.

It is know that high blood pressure can be the cause of Tinnitus.  As you pressure increases more blood is passing through the small veins in your ears creating sounds that you might hear.

It has been found that ringing in the ears can be cause by nutritional deficiencies.  Most illnesses are cause by poor nutritional diets and intake of excess toxins.  Both these conditions lead to the deterioration of organs and, of course, the ears.

You need good nutrition to:

Maintain good blood circulation in your ears
Provide antioxidants to protect your ears from free radical damage
Provide nutrients for good ear health
Protect you ears from the effects of long term stress or anxiety

Here are some nutrients that help improve the health of your ear:

Chinese Foxglove - provides antioxidants for the inner ear
Magnesium and zinc – helps reduce ringing in the ears
B-vitamins with vitamin C – reduces the effects of anxiety
Gingko Biloba – improves blood circulation to the ears.

Ringing in the ears can also be cause by muscle tension around your neck.  If you have been in a car accident; this can imbalance muscle forces around your neck and cause ringing in your ears.  You may need to go to a good chiropractor to correct these pulled muscles.

If you have Tinnitus, try taking some of the supplements mentioned.  You may look on the internet for an ear ringing or Tinnitus formulation.  Look at possible traumatic or emotional events that might have activated ringing in your ears and work to reduce your anxiety.

Recent Health News – HPV vaccine - Gardasil

In the e-Alert from HSI "Every Breath You Take" (3/5/07), I told you how Merck representatives have been encouraging state legislatures across the country to make the HPV vaccine mandatory for young schoolgirls. That's right: mandatory.

This initiative largely failed, and I expect many state representatives are happy they didn't back the plan because three deaths have now been linked to Gardasil.

One of the patients who died suffered a blood clot three hours after receiving the vaccine. Two other patients (aged 12 and 19) died from "heart problems and/or blood clotting."

This is unbelievably tragic – especially considering that the vaccine in no way guarantees immunity from cervical cancer. Imagine the mother who hears the wonderful reports about Gardasil, believes all the promises, and decides to have her daughter immunized, only to watch helplessly as her child succumbs to a fatal adverse reaction.
