it gives the brown flax seed higher omega-3 content and a superior oil quality.
You can use both types of seeds and still get the same benefits. If you like,
you can buy both colors and mix them. Buy flax seeds in bulk and then grind
them when you are ready to use them. Do not grind them and store them, since
they oxidize quickly and go rancid. Grinding them is necessary to release the
nutrients and fatty acids that are stored inside the semi-hard shell.
Golden flax seeds have many health benefits because of the lignans, omega-3,
fiber, and other nutrients that they have. Lignans are antioxidants that trap
and disable free radicals. Omega-3 are fatty acids that lower cholesterol and LDL cholesterol thus preventing
