Rudy Silva

Doing a kidney cleanse yearly is a good idea, but how do you go about it and why should you do it. Lets first look at what the kidneys do so you can decided when and why do a kidney cleanse.

The main purpose of the kidneys is to keep body liquid in balance remove waste and excess body fluids through the product and excretion of urine. They regulate the volume, electrolyte concentration, and acid-base balance of body fluids; detoxify the blood and eliminate wastes, regulate blood pressure

The kidney is also responsible for activating the production of red blood cells. When the kidneys detect low levels of oxygen in the blood, they will release a hormone called “erythropoietin.” This hormone travels to the red bone marrow to stimulate it to produce red blood cells. Other hormones released by the kidney control calcium metabolism and blood pressure.

Keeping the kidneys clean and functioning like they should, should be part of your overall health maintenance program. As you age, the kidney function decreased and at age 90 you probably have only 50% or less kidney function. This is the time you will need more kidney function. But, by cleansing the kidneys of the waste and chemicals that deposit in its tissue, you can increase the life and function of your kidneys. And, this in turn means longer life.

The first part in doing a kidney cleanse is drinking, first thing in the morning, a lemon drink. Here is how you do it. Add all of these ingredients into a blender for 1 minute or so.

Kidneys need to be cleaned out to remove deposit, toxins, waste, and any other matter that collects with the kidney cell structures. These deposits can be small or can turn into medium or large stones. Don’t wait until you develop a kidney condition. Start with just drinking the lemon-lime drink until you get your herbs.
